    • How long have you been doing Fireworks?

25+ years of experience; Our Founder Marc Crain Started his first Fireworks Company "Shot in The Dark Productions" in 1995. Since then he has worked on many unique first time projects pushing the boundaries of what was done before. he was the First company to ever shoot off the roof tops in down town Wichita Ks. for Century II 30 Anniversary in 1999. In 1999 he was also brought in as a consultant for the KC Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium to discuss the feasibility and demonstrate the possibilities of shooting off the top of the score board

Marc also designed one of the first Wireless firing systems which gave him a advantage over other companies and allowed Shot in the Dark Production to secure a contract with Pace Motor Sports and SFX Entertainment providing Pyrotechnics for the Motor Maddness and Monster Jam  Nationally televised Truck series in many Super Domes across the USA.

Again he was a pioneer being the first company to shoot off the artificial turf field at Memorial Stadium for the McAllen Holiday Parade. Also working closely with the McAllen Fire Marshall he was able to be the first and only company allowed to shoot off the rooftops of McAllen Convention Center and preforming Arts building for Festivals and Holiday events.

Continuing the tradition of innovation using secure wireless firing technology he was the first company to shoot off of multiple barges in South Padre Island. Over the years has trained many pyrotechnic operators in multiple States.

His Wife has become a accomplished Display operator and has run her own crew shooting Large scale shows on the river front in KC Missouri.

Marc's 3 children grew up around fireworks displays and after turning 18 have all worked on many Fireworks shows and are continuing to learn more about the business and Art of Fireworks displays so that one day he can pass the company down to the next generation.
